1. Patient Care Technician   16 weeks in class + 5 weeks Externship = 21 weeks
This unique class includes CNA, EKG, Phlebotomy & Basic Introduction to Radiology and provides entry level healthcare workers with a comprehensive tool to become multi-skilled. All areas are covered: phlebotomy and the medical laboratory, EKG, basic respiratory radiography, basic nursing skills, medical terminology, basic anatomy & physiology. coverage of safety infection control, quality assurance, ethical and legal aspects of patient care and patients bill of rights. You will receive PCT Certificate for working in all medical based organizations

Upon completion of the course students can be nationally certified thru the National Healthcareer Association.

2. Electronic Medical Records Specialist   10 weeks in class
Electronic medical records specialist is a NEW program which trains students in technology about health information. Access to health information is changing. Doctors now have complete access to medical histories, medicines all with the push of a button. This recent technology intertwines health information from all sources pertaining to the patients healthcare known as ELECTRONIC HEALTH RECORD. You will receive a National certification as an Electronic Medical Records Specialist upon successful completion of this course. 3. Phlebotomy Technician  6 weeks in class
You will gain an understanding of basic anatomy & physiology of organ systems, infection control, specimen documentation and transportation, equipment and procedures, blood collection equipment, venipuncture procedures, skin puncture procedures, complications in blood collection, pediatric procedures, arterial, IV, special collection procedure for elderly, long term care collection, urinalysis, body fluid collection, workplace testing, sports medicine and related areas. You will receive Phlebotomy Certificate for working in hospitals, medical labs, community based medical centers.

After course completion students are eligible for National Phlebotomy certification
through the National Healthcareer Association.

4. Pharmacy Technician 12 weeks in class + 4 weeks Externship = 16 weeks
Course will provide special concentration on prescriptions (fill process) labels, calculations, measurements, IV flow rate, percents and solutions, working with vials and ampoules, dialysis irrigation solutions, compounding equipment.

You will study in-depth basic pharmaceutics, how drugs work, ADME processes and diffusion, drug interactions, absorption/distribution, bioequivalence factors affecting drug activity. You will receive Pharmacy Technician Certificate for working in local pharmacies, hospital pharmacies and medical labs.

Upon course completion National certification with National Pharmacy Technician Certification Examination

5. Dialysis Technician 23 weeks in class + 5 weeks Externship = 28 weeks
Dialysis Tech operates kidney dialysis machines which filter normal waste products and excess fluids from the blood of patients. Their duties are performed under the supervision of physicians or registered nurses. They have clinical and technical skills and are responsible for patient care, dialysis equipment repair and maintenance.

You will learn all aspects of the dialyzer and delivery systems to monitor equipment while in use, clean equipment following treatment, record patient vital signs, observe patient during treatment, administer local anesthetic and drugs under supervision, and assess patients for any complications. Train patients for at home dialysis treatment.

Upon course completion students are eligible for national certification by National Nephrology Certification Organization.

6. Medical Assistant 12 weeks in class + 4 weeks Externship = 16 weeks
The Medical Assistant will assess and manage common health problems on a wide spectrum of patients in an ambulatory, doctors office, out patient clinic, hospital and acute care setting. Course will cover anatomy & physiology, pharmacology, microbiology, dosage and calculations/drug administration, EKG, Phlebotomy, Introduction to Radiology, Introduction to Medical coding, urinalysis and spirometry.

You will receive Medical Assistant Certificate for working in doctors office, hospitals, clinics and medical labs.

After completion of the course students are eligible for National Medical Assistant Certification through the National Healthcareer Association.

7. Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Introduction to basic nursing skills, body structure and function, CPR, infection control, universal precautions, medical terminology, TPR mechanics, wound care, diabetes care, proper lifting and position techniques.

Upon completion of the course you will receive CNA certification for working in nursing homes, assisted living facilities.

8. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation CPR (Adult, Infant, Child, A.E.D.) 7 hours
The CPR Course teaches rescuer skills in CPR and relief of choking (foreign-body airway obstruction). It presents information about the American Heart Association adult Chain of Survival and signs of heart attack, cardiac arrest, stroke and choking in adults. The course also presents information on the American Heart Association pediatric infant and child Chain of Survival, signs of choking in infants and children, how to reduce risk of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS), and prevention of the most common fatal injuries in infants and children. You will receive a CPR Card valid for 2 years from the American Heart Association.

9. Ultrasound Technician 12 months in class + 1,000 hours of Externship = 21 months
The Ultrasound Technician program is a comprehensive program designed to prepare the graduate to become a certified ultrasound technician. Students will learn skills in patient care as it applies to ultrasound techniques, while observing patient rights, as well as those needed to pass the requirements to become a certified ultrasound technician.

Hours
The school is open 7 days a week. Morning session begin at 8:00 a.m through 1:00 p.m., afternoon sessions from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and evening sessions from 5:00 p.m through 10:00 p.m. A student can only enroll and attend a specified session. Switching, alternating or doubling up may create scheduling conflicts and is not allowed. Externship hours vary and are flexible.
